Inspired by the unordered, the overlooked and the sideshows of life, Ros Ford’s work is about functional structures that are often unnoticed.
Ros Ford is currently RE (Royal Society of Painter Printmakers) Visiting Guest artist on a six week fellowship at the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica, Venice. The exhibition shows progression of ideas and prints over the first four weeks of the fellowship, including drawings and etchings, in particular the juxtaposition of contemporary structures alongside the ancient city and working boats of Venice.
She will be working on drawings of Venice in the gallery space for the duration of the exhibition. Drawings which will be developed in to print on her return to Bristol.
Exhibition curated by Deirdre Kelly
