Christopher Le Brun was the first artist invited by the Artists International Print Project to produce a series of monoprints at the Scuola di Grafica di Venezia during the summer of 2002.
One of the most influential figures to emerge in British art in the 1980s, Christopher Le Brun’s work encompasses both symbolism and abstraction. His haunting, often large-scale works, offer images from romantic poetry to the old masters and he has often used the monoprint as a source of material for work later seen in his larger pieces.
A trustee of the Tate Gallery, (90-95), National Gallery, (96-03), and member of the Royal Academy, he was elected Professor of Drawing at the Royal Academy School, London in 2000
