Paintings, drawings & prints completed during a three month residency here at the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica by Shawn Ireland from USA.
Although he is recognised internationally for his wood fired ceramics Shawn Ireland has chosen here to pursue his other passions – painting & drawing. “Italy inspires me; these works come from what I’ve seen & experienced here in Venice in winter: white marble, venetian red, ochre stucco & grey skies.”
Shawn Ireland is recipient of the Resident Artists Coordinator Fellowship, January-March 2015.
