Christopher Ganz

‘These prints and drawings are an exploration of Venice’s architecture through opposing points of view; such as, dawn and dusk, the interior versus the exterior of a church, or a building and it’s reflection in the canal. Than, I compared these views by superimposing one over the other. Through these comparisons, I saw complementary relationships and patterns that made the city come together more as a whole. This sense of opposites, yet integration, is one aspect of what makes Venice so fascinating to me.’

Christopher Ganz is an associate professor of fine arts in printmaking and drawing at Indiana-Purdue University Fort Wayne. He received a Master of Fine Arts from Indiana University-Bloomington and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Sayaka Ganz

‘This series of collagraphs and sculptures seek to explore the relationships between natural and artificial, preciousness and waste, alive and inanimate. The plates are made from reclaimed plastics, scrap fabric and paper bonded together with acrylic medium. The sculptures of birds are made of reclaimed plastics and wire.’

Sayaka Ganz is full-time independent artist. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Indiana University-Bloomington and a Master of Fine Arts from Bowling Green State University, Ohio.
