European Cultural Academy→ (ECA) and Scuola Internazionale di Grafica offer a two-week studio residency enriched by a course on sustainable printmaing and a cycle of lectures, visits and critiques dedicated to the Venice Biennale: Venice Biennale Revealed: Behind the Scenes Experience→
ECA is an award-winning organization specializing in contemporary art and architecture, with a presence in Venice, Amsterdam and Barcelona.

Sustainable Printmaking
In the first part of the program, the resident artists will approach the new green printmaking processes and attend an introduction course to sustainable printing methods.
Throughout the entire program, the resident artists will be granted access to the Scuola’s fully equipped laboratories from 8.30am to 8.30pm.

After a few days of studio work, you will engage in a journey to explore the universe of the Venice Biennale→
Thanks to our program you will gain special access to experts, curators and organizers in order to appreciate the intricacies of this large and complex event, and indeed learn how to become a part of the largest and oldest art international exhibition in the world.

Studio Work
The last part of the program will be dedicated to independent studio work.
The resident artists will develop their personal art projects, which will culminate in a Group Critique and an Open Studio.

The Locations
Our resident artists work and make art in three outstanding locations: the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica in Cannaregio, the European Cultural Academy in Barbaria de le Tole and Palazzo Dandolo Parisi on the Grand Canal.

The €2,250.00 Program Fee includes:
- Course in Sustainable Printmaking @ Scuola Internazionale di Grafica.
